Let’s face it…As educators, we are competing against the likes of fast paced, attention grabbing video games, apps, social media and more. Being an active listener is an essential life skill, yet we are finding year after year, slowly but surely we have to actually teach our students how to do this without all the bells and whistles to grab their attention.

“Listen Up! Auditory Activities for Little Listeners” extends the learning and listening opportunities. All activities can be used independently of themselves. In other words, there’s no order…Use any activities anytime of the year!

These activities will help your class move towards independent, active listening in meaningful and “fun” ways. Each activity can be utilized with your whole class, small groups or with individual students as needed. There are two levels, Beginning and Intermediate, so the listening lessons can be differentiated and/or extended throughout the school year.
