If
you would’ve asked us a week ago to go to a “Bloggy Meet Up”, we wouldn’t have
had ANY idea what you were even talking about.  But, early last
week in the midst of our daily blog stalking
reading that all changed.

We spotted this cute lil’ invite made by Traci, at Dragonflies in First {yes, made…like the clipart and all you guys!  She is fabulously talented! } , mentioned in the hilarious Kristen’s, A Teeny Tiny Teacher blog post last week. Though we didn’t have a blog ourselves, and were only thinking of starting, we thought how great to be able to ask a few questions, meet a few So Cal teacher bloggers and of course, they had us at Cheesecake…

So,
we mustered the courage and extended an email to our new friend Hadar, from Miss Kindergarten
Love, first reassuring her that we are not “Creepers”, and
second, asking if we could join them? She so graciously accepted our party
crashing email to meet up, so we told the Hubbies that we had “official bloggy
business” and they would have to take the kids for the entire day…Duty Calls! 
 

We
walked into Cheesecake Factory hand in hand {times like these, we love having
each other}, not knowing a soul, a little late (thanks LA traffic), and very,
very nervous.  What were we even doing there?  Maybe we are
Creepers…  Oh!  We
should mention that prior to going, we quickly (like lickity split quick) threw
a blog up just to say we had “something”…We’re rule followers People…Can’t go to a Bloggy
Meet Up without a blog!!  Well, come to find out you CAN, but
that’s a whole ‘nother Oprah…

So here comes the cheese –
We walked in as strangers and left as lifelong friends…We know,
we know CORNY!  But, honestly look at how much fun we had!  And, this
was before cheesecake!

These women are truly A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, and we
cannot thank them enough for taking us under their wings as we embark on this
journey.  

Though
it was 4 very short hours together, the friendships we made will last a
lifetime.  We have seriously not come off Cloud 9 since Saturday!  
It is truly amazing how a group of teachers from all over the place (Our new
soul sister, Rachelle,
from What the Teacher Wants came all the way from Utah!) can come
together as strangers and leave as friends. 

Funny
how a week ago we had no idea what a “Bloggy Meet Up” even was, and now we
don’t  know what we will do until the next one!  We miss them
already!

We’ve honestly been
sitting at our computers for hours on end ever since Saturday trying to get
this blog going…It’s been hard to stay focused, but thanks to Fran’s party favors
from our Meet Up, we’ve got a lil’ motivation to keep us going…{wink, wink}

Can’t you hear
them? 

“Hey Girls, we know
you are D.O.G. tired from trying to get a teaching blog up and running,
creating TpT products, and teaching 22 first graders in between…Don’t worry,
we’ve cleaned all the dishes, folded all the laundry, and took it upon
ourselves to write lesson plans for you from now ’til Summer.”

Hmm…A girl could get used to this!
