Description
Math and Literacy activities for centers or whole group learning will grow your students’ knowledge this winter as they practice essential Common Core standards throughout the winter season.
As teachers of 20 years, we are firm believers in the motto, “Work smarter, not harder”. Planning for and creating center activities is an area that can take an abundance of weekly teacher prep time. But, it is essential for meeting the multiple levels of learners in our classrooms.
~This unit is aligned with First Grade Common Core Standards but can be adapted to fit your grade level K-2.
This unit provides 15 math and literacy activities designed to be used whole group, small group, and/or independently over the course of the season. There are multiple suggestions for utilizing each activity, allowing for extended use and varied practice over several weeks. Extension and Variation suggestions allow for differentiation opportunities with your students and give those fast finishers something “more” to do!
We’ve included Teacher Notes and easy to follow Directions cards for each activity.
