Father's Day is right around the corner and our class loves showing appreciation for all the special men in their lives. Since they had such a blast creating Spa Mom for Mother's Day, we couldn't leave the Dads out! So, we created Tie-rific Dad for all the TOP guys in our students' lives. Putting Tie-rific Dad together is pretty simple. The templates are easy to copy directly onto colored construction paper, then just cut and glue. We have them use markers for the nose and mouth too. Summer Reading Logs
Summer is right around the corner, and parents everywhere are starting to ask teachers can you PLEASE keep them longer?! what they can have their students do over the summer to keep their school skills solid? Sliding Through Summer ~ Skills Review Booklet for Off Season Learners
We take our summer sliding very seriously... We put our best foot forward and try our very best to keep from slipping off the summer slide. But, us teachers know how this story goes... Kids slip and slide all over the summer. Sometimes, we slip off the summer slide... And forget all that we learned... These are the times we remind our teachery selves... Those apples don't fall too far from those trees. ;) Fortunately for our first grade families, we will not let them slip off the summer ... VIEW POST

We know we're in June...the sixth month of the year... Right? We're pretty sure we're well within the 5 for Friday "Slacker Grace Period", so we're linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching once again. Things were moving along at warp speed for us, and then just like getting clotheslined in a vicious game of Red Rover, it was LIGHTS OUT. Over. School's GONE and Summer's ON!! Cheers! We got these as an end of year gift. Best gift ever! They're from Pier 1 Imports. Run... A lot ... VIEW POST
